The inception of the band began roughly 5 years ago when Joe Cordell and Josh Leisure originally met and started randomly jamming together. As fast friends they became increasingly inspired by their shared love of music. Over the course of the next several years they would jam with several talented musicians on different projects that never fully came to fruition. Despite their bumps in the road they continued to find time to work on their passion of writing and playing music. Over time they became introduced to Bradley Hodges, now lead vocalist of the band. Upon learning of his previous experience with both performance choir and theater they offered him an opportunity to try out with the band. Over a period of time and after enduring a series of significant changes, The Shaded is back booking shows and excited to meet new friends and melt faces..

As now a 4 piece band they continue to find their collective sound and work to grow locally as a band. There is a shared appreciation for what they do and whoever gives them the opportunity to be heard.
