A Heroes Formula
Amazing riffs, this band reminds me of Pink Floyd on Rock n metal. Screaming and climbing guitars! The music being generated is beyond what I have heard in this category. Lack of vocals maybe, but they are thinking of which direction to go. Their Album will be coming out this month, and they have a show coming up at Remmingtons Dowtown Nov 3rd!

After several shows where we encountered him, he began hanging with our crew after the BENEFIT show at the MANSION.... Hosted by Jeremy Helms.
We had encountered him at a FEW HIP-HOP shows at the Outland Ballroom, not including, Wicked Wayz, Lil Wyte. It was on the MANSION broadcast, (BEER420 was covering the show, see our show archives on Spreaker here ---> CLICK HERE! Well, the MANSION show, he wanted us to paint his face, we were painted and stenciling t-shirts. It was from here he began to hang with us, the DEVOURER name came from a night he drank a gallon of Vodka and ate everything in our refrigerator. Old School slicker, playin off the obvious. Rick came to us via my contacts in Yellow Cab. He would come over, get drunk, and hit on anything that moved. The guys found it hilarious, the women found him annoying. lol
Rick since has been diagnosed with throat cancer, and is in treatment, he smokes regularly, (the cannabis) and is doing well the last I talked with him. When sober, he is an amazing guitar and blues player, but that is few and far between. Rick is known as Rick the Sicilian because of his rants when drunk, making senseless repeat comments in bad Italian, complete with improper enunciation's.

Creators of the BEER420 INTROMIX for our show, this pair of cats are stirring it up in the LOCAL scene. They gave their FIRST ever LIVE performance at the BNB (Beer not Bombs) backyard Bonfire party, and even though the MAIN band had left with the secondary AMPS & Mics, they still belted it out to the crowd. Now their audio on the show itself was not seemingly as good on audio quality, this was due to mixing issues, however, the live performance was amazing! Good times all around and special thanks for them coming and joining in!

ERASI visits Beer420 8/4/2012
In a time when Death Core and Metal Core has seemed to reach its limits in the evolutionary chain, Erasi is a 5 piece Progressive Death core band out of Waukesha, Hales Corners, Whitewater, Wisconsin; slamming forward with a NEW twist to the scene. Their Deceptive Intro, pulls you in three directions, as your lured in on a Soft Dub, which quickly converts into Core sound, while the vocals reach in the Direction, that I can only describe as Death Punk. Amazing. Shock and Awe, when you realize that these sounds mesh so fluidly.
They have a distinct sound using this mix of attitudes and sounds, in the construct and delivery of each individual track. This is a must listen for any DEATH core fan, as it takes the industry to a whole ‘Nother Level. As a Dj, in the industry, I see new grounds being broken by artists on rare occasion, and this is one of those moments with ERASI.

Heading to Springfield to handle some LEGAL issues with a traffic ticket and a shit relationship gone bad, MoHawk Bob, a Native American and Patriot to FREEDOM landed at the Portal House.
Once a Facebook friend to Steve Stephens and Hotlips, now a friend in real life! He arrived at the best time, we had the 4th of July Party, and he and his girlfriend fit right in!
A few days visit at the Portal House, and dealing with the court system by day, everything will soon be resolved, and he will be heading back to nowhere Alabama.
He is hoping to go to college for a Tech Degree in Electronics and Audio Tech Programing and the like. This sounds amazing to us, and we wish him the best in his mission! Oh, when you get that degree, and we are a full blown Production Studio, we got a job for ya! -Nabz

Not only did he light up the yard and the recording studio, but also lit the Bonfire for us, and shared a trunk full of (LEGAL) lol, FIREWORKS! So Fun!
I am working with him on several things, and look forward to working with him further going forward into the future! This will be a name you will be seeing a lot of in the future of Beer420 and BackHand Studio's. When I was talking to him one on one about what he does, he explained.
"I tried to be a DJ, and there are people that can do that, and others that JUST can't. I am one of those guys. But I LOVE the scene, everything about it, the Club the People, the Fun. The enjoyment on peoples faces as they listen and dance to a DJ's work. And this gives ME great pleasure, because 'I Know', that it is being played on MY equipment, My Sound, My Lights... Letting the Artists make their Magic Happen, and provide enjoyment for so many people."
I was curious, no fame? No recognition? And his reply was, "this is my HOBBY, and I enjoy what I do, and what I do is make it possible for DJ's to be Heard."

An Amazing group, we can not say enough about how open minded and into the scene these guys are. We had a blast hanging with them and listening to their LIVE acoustics on the show. Stephen Stopped in to the studio on his way back to California during his visit here in Springfield, mo. Having spent plenty of time on the streets; mostly in San Diego where he was born; and most of it getting into trouble GiGZ is an artist that appreciates every opportunity. He knows they are few and far to come by so he takes full advantage of each one.
Always loving music; as a kid he loved to memorize songs from the radio and perform along as they played. Now he loves to make his own. GiGZ isn't satisfied by just doing songs, he wants to make “good” music, as he likes to call it. Feeling like he has a style all his own he continues to try to do better than his best.
GiGZ is currently working on his solo mix tape and is featured on 4 solo songs on the recently released “ Global Domination” mix tape. He also recently finished a project with producer Turan and artist Powerful from Jamaica. With no plans of stopping GiGZ warns that you should be on the lookout for more “good” music.
